I went on a wonderful trip to Kashmir with my family from 15 March to 21 March 2023. It was one of the best trips of my life! We took a flight to Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir. As soon as we landed, I saw snow-covered mountains. It looked like a picture from a fairy tale.

On the first day, we went to Dal Lake. I had a ride in a shikara (a small wooden boat). It was peaceful and so beautiful! We also stayed in a houseboat, which was a new and fun experience for me.

The next few days, we visited Gulmarg and Sonmarg. In Gulmarg, I saw a lot of snow. I even tried to play with snowballs and made a small snowman. We also rode a cable car, which gave us an amazing view of the snowy mountains. In Sonmarg, we rode ponies and clicked many pictures.

I also loved the food in Kashmir. I tasted dishes like Rogan Josh and Kashmiri Pulao. The people were kind and friendly. They wore colorful traditional clothes and smiled a lot.

Shopping was fun too! I bought a warm woolen cap and a small souvenir for my friends.

Kashmir is truly called “Paradise on Earth,” and now I know why. I had a great time and learned many new things. I hope to visit again one day with my family.
